The Free Radical Story - As a defense mechanism against pollution, stress, toxins, bad diet, sunlight, injury, illness, and even exercise, the human body produces free radicals or disease initiating marauders. Free radicals are unstable highly charged molecules bearing an extra electron. Fueled by the very air we breath, free radicals play a role in at least 50 different diseases. Including arthritis, cancer, heart disease, cataracts, aging skin, and many more.
